Hi myself and my husband have just put an offer in on a apartment in son parc. Any help and advice would be appreciated

Son Parc is a good base for the NE of the island. I'm told the golf course is good. Fornells is a 5 minute drive away, pretty with lots of restaurants and the area's best restaurant is minutes away - Corner Bar in Addaia. Son Parc itself has suffered and has few acceptable places to eat. The whole commercial area has a very tired feel. Arenal d'en Castell is a minute on from Addaia. Spectacular bay, good Indian restaurant as well as many others. Avoid Restaurante Alcalde, beloved by some but always a disappointment to me.

A lot depends on if you are buying as a holiday home or if you are planning to relocate.

Check if there is a postal service (due to low year round residents, there may not be) and rent a box so you receive all your post.

Go one way or the other on the Cami for great walks - invest in the book if you don’t already have it.

Join local FB groups to find out what’s going on.

Read the local news.

If you don’t already speak Spanish sign up for some classes - even a little helps.
