When we visit Menorca in June we will be doing lots of walking. We both enjoy hill walking but I have a fear of heights. Looking at Google Earth it is quite difficult to judge the terrain. Are there any areas I should avoid? We normally enjoy exploring and finding stuff out for ourselves but as we are only on the Island for a week any advance information would be very much appreciated.

The Island is not mountainous. It has one main peak (Monte Torro - near Alaior). A good start would be searching the Cami de Cavalls - this is a walking route around the whole island. I’d recommend having an hire car whilst there to get the most out of what the island has to offer. Enjoy

Thank you very much for your informative reply. The more we research the Island the more we like. We have done a lot of walking on Fuerteventura over the years and always used their very adequate bus service. We prefer not to hire a car. What is the public transport on the island like. Do you, or anyone else, know please ?
