Help the 170 cats in Ciutadella relocate! Update 1 November 2020

Hi there,

the latest news is that they have found a new space for the sanctuary but it is in need of a bit of renovation, I have managed to raise 275 euros so far and am hoping to get a bit more.  I understand that this is not a good time to be asking for financial help with the pandemic but I think that if i can even raise a bit more even if it is just 5 euros that would be fantastic.

People have said to me, quite rightly that because it is linked to the council they should be doing more, I would agree under normal circumstances but because of the amount of people who have had no work in the summer, they have not been able to pay all the normal annual bills like the IBI (house rates), business rates, the road tax, the rubbish and water the funds have not been available, so they are doing what they can, as I am sure a lot of other councils are also. It is a vicious circle.

So as Boyce from only fools and horses would say "get the card out Marlene" and if you can spare something that would be really great.
