Looking for anyone with a property in the Ciutadella area

can you tell us a bit more, when you say over the winter months,  how long do you need a place for?  

We could maybe talk then?  

We have a  2 bedroomed flat in Cala Blanca, which will be available from November through some of the winter months, which or may not be suitable for you?

Firstly, thank you for replying. 

We will need a place in November as when we sell our flat we'll have three months to find somewhere. Ideally we'd like to be able to rent for the school year as our plan will be to go to the peninsular in June of next year. My wife is from Barcelona and we'd like to be closer to family.

If you think that may work then please let me know. Either way, I'd be grateful if you could spread the word. As mentioned in my original post I am very good with my hands and I am a good communicator, both essential when looking after properties!

our situation is that we plan to be here until end of October,  or 10th November latest, but because my partner is applying for her residency,  its possible that she may need to come back to Menorca in the Spring, so really the flat could only be rented from November until end of  March

I will spread the word, and get back to  you if i hear of anything else that may be going

perhaps  give me an approximate idea of rent that you would be prepared to pay

Thanks again. Maybe we should just keep in touch visa vi your place, that may work. In terms of how much we're prepared to pay depends on too many factors such as location, size of property and any maintenance required. I can only see a price being possible on a case by case basis.

Hi Dave, yes lets keep in touch about the fkat and our plans, uncertain times at the moment, and things can change from one day to next.... 

We are currently looking to buy a second hand car, budget of around 1,000 euros, as we are here for periods of time, woukd save us on expensive hire car... If you hear of anything or can suggest good places to look, that would be much appreciated

A local friend recently sent us a quote for a second hand car for €1100. I shall follow up as this was beginning of July. Bear in mind second hand here is not what it is in the UK.

lways a risk with 2nd hand cars, but sounds like you think more here? 

Anyway even a few years use witbout TOO much in tbe way of  maintenance expences  expence would make it worthwile

Thank you so much for replying to my post.

That sounds promising - we are negotiating the sale of our flat and how long we want/need to stay here. Ideally we would like somewhere that takes us to the end of the school year in June - that gives us time to sort out our next move which is likely to be to the mainland - my wife is from Catalunya and we would like to be closer to family.

What would you like to offer in terms of rent. As mentioned, I am looking for a I'll scratch your back you scratch mine in terms of maintaining the property. I take pride in how well I look after things which I know can be very useful over humid winters on the island. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, painting etc. and love anything garden related.
