Hi,
I just arrived back in U.K. yesterday afternoon ( Friday ). I booked and had my PCR test done at the airport on Wednesday. Very easy and efficient service. Cost 70 euros. Received results in 9 hours

You do NOT need a PCR----Just the cheaper antigen test to return to the UK. Around 30 euros at the airport a couple of days before or Juaneda clinic......

“the Goverment explicitly advises using a PCR test for travel to the U.K. from Spain and it’s Islands ( Balearics and Canary Islands ) August 2021
For any other country, you are advised to use an antigen test, which can include a lateral flow, or PCR test, as long as the provider you choose meets the standard for pre departure travelling.
The test must meet performance standard of >97per cent specificity, >80 per cent sensitivity of viral loads above 100,000 copies / ml “ the government states.

Yep advice only. We certaintly won"t be wasting our money on an expensive PCR test. If you took every bit of government advice you would never leave home again .

My concern was not having sufficient knowledge on the antigen detail. And being aware of certain companies not having the correct standard to satisfy U.K.
My daughter had been flying back from Spain and seen people turned away with having certain lateral flow results.
Hence, it’s complicated enough travelling these days, I wanted to minimise any potential grief, so went for PCR
Mahon Airport
eurofins … download the app TrustOne and book it all through that no payment needed till you arrive…. Take your passport - For uk use Antigen Test - results back in 30minutes so quick just pull up outside airport drop off
