My friend and I have been holidaying in Son Bou for over 20 years. This last 12 months has been the darkest time, and we are looking forward to seeing old friends again. What is the general opinion on the possibility that Menorca will be welcoming tourism again from the UK by June This is my first post on this site so be gentle with me. hahahahaha

I have had a house in Addaia for 35 years. It was so sad to see the decline in the economy last year, so many closed businesses. We have flights booked for June 22nd but regard it as unlikely we will get out until probably July. And then there's the PCR tests - one going out, one coming back and a 3rd a week later. And all this assumes that Spain will let US in!

Just been informed by holiday company that because Jet2 are not flying untill June 24 I have to change my dates again. I missed it by one day supposed to go on 23rd. We already changed the dates once on there advice from 14 June to 23rd .Cost us an extra £400 altogether because it went into peak period. Waiting for confirmation to go on 4 July now. If it goes up again gonna cancel it all. Supposed to go for 25 nights so I might not get accomodation for that long later in the year. What can you do but grin and bear it,

Jet2's policy is interesting. With easyjet you can move flights that have been cancelled at no cost at all. They even move your seat allocations and checked baggage allowance

I would suggest using any site apart from OntheBeach for a holiday at this uncertain time. They are absolutely useless. Prices just keep going up by hundreds of pounds every time you request a change. We started off booking last year for 14 June this year we have altered dates twice. Ok I know we have now gone into peak times ie July 4 and we are going for 25 nights ,but the overall price has gone up from £2550 to £3600 for just 2 people. Robbery 😤😤

Guess it's different if you are booking a whole holiday. We've had a place on menorca for 36 years so just book flights. Sorry, misunderstood the original post.
