Hire and use of mobility scooters

I plan on visiting Menorca in May and would like to know if it's easy to hire a mobility scooter?  Is it possible to pre-book online, or could I order one via the hotel I choose?

I would also welcome advice about resorts suitable for someone using a scooter, i.e. access, dropped pavements, flat promenades etc.  Ideally I'd like to stay somewhere with a harbour or marina, which is disabled friendly.
