Housesitter available for some weeks in August or October

Hello Paula,

I just have a couple of questions. How much do you charge for your housesitting services?

I have 3 cats and a small garden, but I also volunteer for the Protectora, which involves feeding 3 local feral cat colonies every other day.

Would you be willing to take on all these responsibilities?

Hi Kate! Thank you for your message and your interest in my services! 

To me, housesitting is an exchange so I don't usually charge for it, unless there are many many animals to look after or something extra such as farm work. The agreement is different with each house owner. Some of them pay for my tickets (right now I'm in Orkney, Scotland, and since it took 2 flights, a bus and a ferry to get here, the ouse owners covered part of that). Some others just leave me a fridge full of food or a tank full of gas. 

I usually only request good wifi and the use of a car if I'm in a remote place or a place with a rather limited public transport service.
