Hello! We are returning to Son Bou for the first time in about 18 years but with Grandchildren in tow this time! Which restaurants are the best please . Is copacabana still there?

Hi there! Welcome back!
Copacabana still exists (minus the club area out back) but is now under new ownership as of last year. The buddha bar next door is lovely, very relaxed vibe with great food, would recommend. If you are looking for a more 'posh' meal, Adres' has the best food on the resort but can be a bit more pricey. There is also the Hawaiano bar which does great cocktails, and mocktails for grandchildren, but more than this is the decorations and they give out plastic hawaian lei and sometimes the staff will be on rollerskates, great experience with pool tables and air hockey next door. Beach bars are fab as well. Would avoid Compostella if you don't want food poisoning, and this may be an unpopular opinion but i would also avoid Las Dunas if you dont want your grandchildren to be shouted at.
