Hi could anyone point me in the right direction I need some new shutters and possibly some windows they are at the moment the original wooden ones would it be cheaper to replace with new upvc or alluminum if this is an option or stick with the wood thanks

Hi, we are renewing 8 of our windows and decided for aluminium due to the high humidity on Menorca.
Find yourself an architect who will need to get the permission (certificado) for this reformation project from the ajuntamento in your area.

If you are part of a community you will also need to get their approval. Some years ago we replaced wooden windows and shutters with aluminium and used Alumnec in Alayor. We were very pleased with them and other neighbours used them too as a result.
