I have a holiday pre-booked in August and wondered whether, if travel restrictions are lifted, and flights are back in service by then, my holiday could still go ahead? I am concerned having read that 50% of holiday accommodation across the balaerics will not open atall this year. Can anyone tell me what the 'word on the ground' is please?
Why don’t you post this question on Facebook? There is a page called Son Bou Diary or Love Menorca or Expats Menorca. I’m sure you’d get an answer from one of those. I think your holiday will be ok but your your operator will contact you beforehand if it’s cancelled. I read restaurants are being opened in August but not everyone. Hope you make it

Nobody can answer that as nobody knows, it’s all rumours and guesswork!

Yep all good! Weather not so, plenty of rain!! Looks like children under 14 being allowed out with adult for 30 minute walk next week. Things pointing in the right direction hopefully.
Shame about the rain, but atleast you will have plenty of greenery and colour as a result!?
Have children under 14 not been allowed out for exercise up until now? In the UK we are permitted to have daily exercise as a family if so wished, as long as we keep social distancing from others and we keep moving - walking, running, cycling, scooting etc.

I am hoping to visit Son Bou in September, staying in Pinguinos hotel.
Would appreciate information on whether the local bars will be open. Last year I was impressed with the bar opposite the hotel on the corner Cafe del Sol for coffee and cake.
