When we visit Menorca in June we will be doing lots of walking. We both enjoy hill walking but I have a fear of heights. Looking at Google Earth it is quite difficult to judge the terrain. Are there any areas I should avoid? We normally enjoy exploring and finding stuff out for ourselves but as we are only on the Island for a week any advance information would be very much appreciated.

- We have been regular visitors to Fuerteventura for the last 40+ years. We love walking and spend hours planning our walks around the Islands excellent bus services. Can someone tell us what the bus services in Menorca like please as we hope to us the buses frequently when we visit for the 1st time in June? We have a "Bono" card for Fuerteventura transport which entitles us to a small discount on fares but more importantly as it is pre loaded we don't have to rely on having cash which, for obvious reasons, is a rarity these days. Any public transport advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1st time holiday in Menorca - 10 replies
Hello,
We are looking to celebrate a birthday in late June (just 2 of us) and were thinking of booking a villa in Menorca. The area around Binibeca looks attractive as it is easily accessible from the airport. We prefer somewhere reasonably quiet, although local access to a few bars and restaurants is a must. We also like to walk a lot. Looking at Google Earth, Binibeca appears a bit devoid of a centre and does not appear to have much in the way of bars and shops?
Given the above criteria, we would be very grateful of some guidance as to where we would be best to book. We only focussed on Binibeca as parents (now deceased) visited many years ago. We are open to anywhere in the island, preferably not too far the airport.
Thank you in anticipation.
Staying more than 90 days with a U.K. Passport - 12 replies
A a consequence of Brexit, I understand that a U.K. passport holder can only stay for 90 days in Spain. We have been here since before Christmas and plan to return to the U.K. on March 28th. So just over 90 days in total. Is anyone certain that we will be penalised, and if so in what way? Could we avoid a penalty as a consequence of no direct flights for example?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Eco tax - 1 replies
If we have no guests in our villa this year, highly unlikely, will we still have to pay an estimated eco tax? We have been told to de-register for the tax this year then re-register next year.
Broadband and TV in Menorca - 2 replies
Hi,
We are looking at buying an apartment in Cala Torret (Binibeca) and was wondering which is the best broadband and tv package. Ideally we will be using the apartment most of the year, and would require a good broadband connection, also any tips on receiving UK TV would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
